Monetize Your Site

Recently I posted about Squidoo.com. I have just found that there is competition in this space. There is a site called HubPages.com. They offer a program similar to Squidoo. They offer a 60/40 split of the income from the site. I have not researched HubPages to the extent that I have Squidoo. I have one Lens but no HubPage yet. I may put up a HubPage or two to get a better comparison. It would be interesting both for my own information and so that I could make a recommendation to you.

It appears that both tools use a defined content management system. This allows people to put up pages without worrying about the technical details of web publishing. For those with a little knowledge of web publishing it is possible to produce a more differentiated page. A unique page may attract a few more visitors by getting cited by others in the community. I have an idea for a ‘help’ page for Squidoo. I may put an equivalent page on both sites so that I can compare the draw more directly.
